What are the ingredients you should look for in a sunscreen? Below, check out the skin-nourishing ingredients we included in our newest SPF primer, Glowscreen, that help promote always-healthy skin.
When we set out to create Glowscreen SPF 40, we wanted to make sure that it was not only going to give you an immediate glowy lit-from-within complexion, but that, with time and daily use, your skin will look and feel healthy for the long run, thanks to all of the skin-benefitting ingredients that are in the formula.
On that note, let’s take a look at all of the amazing ingredients in Glowscreen and how they can help make your skin feel and look healthier.
Hyaluronic acid
When it comes to buzzworthy beauty ingredients, hyaluronic acid definitely tops the list…and that’s because it’s proven to help plump, moisturize and soften your skin (what’s not to love about all of that?). That’s why it was a no-brainer for our product development team to figure out a way to create a hyaluronic acid sunscreen with our latest magical formula…Glowscreen SPF 40.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the body (but that depletes with age) that attracts moisture and helps skin stay plump and dewy. We’ve added hyaluronic acid to Glowscreen’s formula to provide intense hydration and help skin be at its plumpest and healthiest level.
Vitamin B5
Vitamin B5 is essential to the skin’s barrier function. It helps boost the skin’s water levels by absorbing moisture from the air, helps prevent trans-epidermal water loss during the day and leaves the skin soft and supple.
The B5 in Glowscreen works in tandem with hyaluronic acid to help strengthen the skin’s barrier to help keep it ultra-moisturized and as healthy as can be.

Niacinamide
This vitamin provides a ton of amazing skin benefits. Niacinamide is a water-soluble vitamin that strengthens the skin’s barrier, allowing it to hold in moisture better for skin that stays hydrated longer. It also helps improve elasticity, which in turn, helps improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduce the appearance of pores, even out skin tone and lock in hydration.
The niacinamide in Glowscreen helps enhance your skin’s natural glow and works to help keep skin to appear extra healthy and balanced.
Sea lavender
Sea lavender was added to Glowscreen to help reduce the visible effects of free radicals. A quick overview on what free radicals are: They’re unpaired electrons hanging out in the air that need something to attach to. And one of the things they like to attach to is your skin…which can then cause damage, like elastic and collagen breakdown, which exacerbates certain issues, like age spots and wrinkles.
Glowscreen contains sea lavender to help reduce the way those nasty free radicals leave a visual impact on your skin and to help support long-lasting hydration. Speaking of free radicals, our next ingredient helps protect from a specific kind of free radical…
Broad spectrum clean chemical SPF 40
Last but definitely not least, Glowscreen is packed with broad spectrum SPF 40, to protect from both UVA and UVB rays. It uses clean chemical sunscreen actives, including avobenzone, octisalate and octocrylene, to provide sun protection.
